Caring for the digestion with constructive habits, Qigong & self-massage; Principles of a balanced diet – food types, five tastes & flavors and acid-alkaline; Qi - the real value in foods; Food, the mind & emotions; adjusting for constitution & the seasons.

part II: the eNergetics of Food

Each food group’s energetic profile from Chinese & western medicine; Analysis of over 100 common foods according to their traditional energy (taste, temperature, entering channels, functions) & therapeutic indications with illustrative highlights from bio-medical nutritional science; Introduction of selected Chinese food-herbs to extend dietary therapy..         

part IiI: chinese nutritional analysis

Organising common foods & herb-foods according to traditional functional groups (ex: Foods that regulate the flow of Qi). Using TCM analysisto look at popular diets, eating habits, cooking methods, food-combining, making dietary changes andto create dietary programs supportive of each TCM condition (Liver Heat, Lung Yin deficiency, etc)..

About the teachers:
As Chinese medicine naturopath, Qigong healer and Chi Rivers directors, Peter Francis & Claire C Cunneen have shared the methods and resources of the Integral Way tradition since 1990. This offering follows Dr Mao Shing Ni’s teaching template, a leading authority on Taoist anti-aging medicine and author of Live Your Ultimate Life.
