Qi and Light 

Is Qi the same as physical light? Not exactly. Qi is a broader concept that encompasses movement, information, vitality, relationship, and consciousness. Yet among the physical phenomena known to science, light may be one of the closest analogies. 

Light carries information and travels across vast distances. Light transforms matter and behaves as both particle and wave. Light connects the visible and invisible worlds.
